I'm terribly excited to be going to the ranch this weekend. Not for any particular reason other than my entire family (sans the outpost in California) will be there. It's beautiful there right now: all the flowers are in bloom, the calves are beginning to get a little independent from their mamas, and the grass is green. The lakes are a little fuller with some much needed March rains. And the temperatures are lovely.

My work is getting off in half an hour, so I'm heading home, packing my part of the family, and taking off. We'll get there in daylight, so we'll be able to see all the bluebonnets. Celosa and Crianza will be able to play with Zapata, and Holden will amble into one of the ponds because he loves swimming so much.

I don't think we'll do anything particularly Easter-y, though my mom has a ham on hand, and I may stop to get some chocolates for everyone. I'm sure someone will make some sort of egg dish at some point, even if it's just an omelette.

I hope everyone has a lovely weekend, regardless of your faith. Mine is a fluid one, but one cannot help but marvel at the rebirth in Spring. It's a lovely time of year, and a wonderful time to celebrate life.

All I have to say is, "Moses, Moses, Moses!"

Also, "So let it be written, so let it be done."
