Stay thirsty, my friends

I had absolutely no idea that the Dos Equis ads featuring the Most Interesting Man in the World were not nation-wide. I love them. (Hit "get to know him" and then "video artifacts" to see some of the commercials.) It's probably my favorite ad campaign running right now. According to Hairballs in the Houston Press,
It turns out Houston has been a test market for the ads, which have also been seen in Austin, Chicago and LA. Now they're going national.

"We had to make sure the advertising is understandable to new consumers, but we had been engaging to the consumers who already knew us," a company spokesperson says. "We had to make sure we were still telling his story."

Apparently we here in Houston had the brainpower necessary to grasp the subtleties of the campaign.
The commercials are, in my opinion, pretty funny. You can probably find more if you search for "most interesting man in the world" on youtube.

I find it distressing that there isn't a radio station in Houston that has the proper format to play the Decemberists on rotation, but I heard them at Marshall's two days ago while shopping for a new sports bra. Marshall's!!

Crianza I get their names mixed up when their right in front of me, too. and I've once called Crianza Relampago Celosa has a three thrity vet appointment today. She was 6.3 pounds when she went in two weeks and two days ago, and I'd be shocked if she's not topping 8 pounds now. How much they grow....

When Graham gets back in three weeks, she'll be huge!

She's sporting a swollen eyeball right now. I noticed it last night, and I'm pretty sure that it wasn't there when I stopped home for lunch yesterday. I think that her sister probably nicked her with a tooth or claw when they were roughhousing. Still, I'm glad that I had to take her to the vet at any rate, so it can be checked out.

San Antonio has had those ads too for a long while. . .

By the way, the ads are based on me. I get a royalty every time they play.
