Hopping on my bike

This morning, I was at the gym at 5:30, which is a wholely unreasonable time to be at the gym. But I had to drop Graham off at the airport during my usual bootcamp workout, so getting their early was the only option. Sprinting at 5:45 is a difficult, difficult thing to do.

I just signed up for the Tour de Houston bike ride. I signed up for the 40 mile ride, and I'm pretty sure that I can make that without too much trouble. The problem, though, is that somewhere around 30 mile marker or so, the ride goes by my house. The temptation to just stop there will be overwhelming....

It's going to be a beautiful weekend; the flowers are out and everyone and his mother is out on patios as much as possible right now. And Houston is pretty flat, so a bike ride through town isn't going to be that taxing, just long.

I'm looking forward to this. It'll be my first real challenge to guage my MS150 progress. I have no idea how long this will take, but I'm looking forward to finding out.

the act of being at the gym that early sucks, but the feeling of getting the workout done and the lack of people at the gym make it worth it...
