My peacock feather tattoo After a bit of going back and forth, I went ahead and set the appointment to get the peacock feather tattoo on my back, and I couldn't be happier.  I sent my artist a link to a Pinterest board that I created specifically for this tattoo, with images that she could draw inspiration from.

I figured that I'd let fate decide. If I couldn't get an appointment in the next two weeks, it wasn't meant to be (for the wedding).  If so, then go for it.  I got in touch and I heard back on Wednesday that yesterday and today were good days.  Woo!

Last night, some dear family friends threw us a party for the wedding, and it was an amazing event.  There are four families that essentially grew up together, and all four came together to shower me and Graham with love.  It was absolutely the best way to kick off this celebration.

But it was also meant that yesterday wasn't a good day for getting a new tattoo.

There was a small hiccup in this, in that my artist had another drawing that was giving her trouble, but she worked that out, and I was at the studio and ready to go at around 9:00 tonight.  It took just two hours, and my artist and I work well together, so it went by fairly well.

It's so very beautiful.  I just keep looking at it in the mirror and get this big ass smile on my face, and I know that I'll be happy to show it off with my wedding dress.

Speaking of, I'm going tomorrow to get it altered with the PERFECT bra.  Thanks so much to @seleyna for the recommendation to check out Lane Bryant.

And tomorrow night is my bachelorette party.  My sister sort of was thrust into putting it together by my friends, and my other sister is flying in for 27 hours to attend.   I'm sort of looking forward to it. I think it'll be a lot of fun, but I've also got a lot of other things on my plate, so a free day doing something other than wedding stuff is sort of stressing me out a little. Plus, I have some pretty wild friends, and I'm not as crazy as I used to be when it comes to partying.  I'm bringing all sorts of craft things for us to do, though.  I figure so long as I have these people, I should use them.

Right now, though, I'm just really happy about my new tattoo.  Yay!
