Infinite Summer

Anyone else up for this?
the challenge
Join endurance bibliophiles from around the world in reading Infinite Jest over the summer of 2009, June 21st to September 22nd. A thousand pages1 ÷ 92 days = 75 pages a week. No sweat.

1. Plus endnotesa.
a. A lot of them.

I never read Infinite Jest, though I have read a good hunk of A Supposedly Fun Thing I'll Never Do Again. I suspect this will be, er, challenging.

That sounds fun. If my current required reading list (not even counting the purely pleasurable stuff) wasn't already somewhere in the five digit page range (or more. I think I would cry if I actually had to add it up), I would do it...

I technically have the time to get the reading finished. But the lack of sleep has so addled my brain that I can't really do it well right now... The undergraduates are so going to walk all over me this coming year...

I think it's a really neat idea, but as much as I did enjoy reading IJ the first time, I don't have a strong desire to read it again.

I'll read it again! However this time I'll know which parts to, uh, say, skim. Thanks for the heads up! That group seems cool.
